IOCL Recruitment 2021 – For the position of Apprentices, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd is inviting application from for qualified individuals. IOCL Recruitment Selection Process :

  • Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Written Test (which will last two hours) and their ability to meet the stated eligibility requirements.
  • The written test will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options and only one right answer. To proceed through the selection process, an applicant must score at least 40% in the Written Test.
  • For reserved positions, the minimum qualifying scores for candidates from the SC/ST/PwBD categories will be 35 percent. Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for Document verification or the final selection, as the same is based on candidate’s rank in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, number of seats in respective Trades/Disciplines, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria and documents found in order upon verification etc.
  • Candidates belonging to PwBD categories, who have availed of concession in eligibility qualification marks or in Written Test qualifying marks, will be considered against reserved seats, irrespective of their position in select list (in order of merit within the category).

Technician Apprentice :

  • Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one year duration/10+2) full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering/Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Instrumentation & Process Control Engineering/Electronics Engineering

Trade Apprentice (Assistant Human Resource) :

  • Full Time Bachelors degree (Graduation) from a Govt. Recognized institute/ University.

Trade Apprentice (Accountant) :

  • Full Time Bachelors degree (Graduation) in Commerce from a Govt. recognized institute/University

Data Entry Operator(Fresher Apprentices) :

  • Minimum 12th pass (but below graduate)

Domestic Data Entry Operator(Skill Certificate Holders) :

  • Minimum 12th pass (but below Graduate). Additionally, candidates should possess Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognised under  National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognised by the Central Govt.

IOCL Recruitment Selection Process :

  • A Written Test would be part of the selection process. The written test will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options and one right answer. The candidate must select the correct option.
  • The Written Test will consist of 100 questions with a total score of 100. Each accurate answer will get one point. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The following is the format of the question paper: For Technician Apprentices – Out of a total of 100 objective type questions, approximately 75 questions will come from the relevant Diploma discipline, and approximately 25 questions will come from General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge, among other topics.
  • For Trade Apprentice (Accountant), around 75 questions from general accounts/commerce/finance and approximately 25 questions from general aptitude and reasoning, general English, numerical aptitude, and general knowledge will be asked out of a total of 100 objective type questions.
  • All 100 objective type questions for Trade Apprentice (Assistant-Human Resource) will be on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge/Awareness, among other topics.
  • All 100 objective type questions for Data Entry Operator and Domestic Data Entry Operator will be on Class 12 level General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge/Awareness.
  • Duration of Written Test shall be of 120 minutes i.e. two hours. Candidates have the option of taking the Question Paper/Test in either English or Hindi. The minimum qualifying score in the Written Test is 40%. For the trades reserved for SC/ST and PwBD candidates, the requirement is decreased by 5%.
